This is simply a great video.  Saatchi and Saatchi is in the idea business and one of the top advertising agencies.

Kevin Roberts as the head of global advertising makes a good few points.  He wants his employees to have

#1 Responsiblity.

#2 Learning.

#3 Recognition.

#4 Joy. 

Roberts says that happy monkey will work harder.  He lets employees who want to leave go and explore. Read book or travel for a year.

Employees who leave will gain skills and are welcomed back. Brilliant!

While some corporation are scared by high turnover rate, Saatchi and Saatchi deals with the reality that the company employs about 6,000 people and loses about a whopping 1/3 each year.

Some of the big clients that Saatchi & Saatchi have big time clients including HSBC and Toyota.

“We have had people who have left nine times, but have come back 10,” says Roberts.

Some of the traits Roberts desire is the thirst for curiosity.  He cares less about which major someone graduated from but instead want the top creative minds.

So the useful tip is to make sure you provide responsibility, learning, recognition, and joy which can equate to a motivated work force.
