All work and no play make for a sucky business. You have to stay on your feet, I get it. New businesses are born every day, I understand that too. But the only way you’re going to work to your full potential is by expressing a bit of empathy from time to time. If you want anyone to buy into your business, first they’re going to have to like you.
You know what happened to Ebenezer Scrooge. Learn to let go from time to time and enjoy the little things that life has to offer. Sometimes, you have to be able to push your work to the side in order to take a fresh approach at getting the job done. Spend more time with the real world, kiss a baby, adopt a pet, or swim with the dolphins- do whatever you have to in order to reconnect with your empathetic self.
