Amr Ashraf, who studies computer engineering and business administration, developed an app named Engezni as part of a software engineering class project. The app aims at providing an alternative for people to order food. He sought to develop an app that restaurants can receive orders from customer directly.
Amr joined The American University in Cairo(AUC) through a scholarship program. He was selected by AUC because of his substantial experience in extra-curricular activities. That is why when Amr got into AUC, he focused on volunteer services and tried to work. He came up the idea of Engezni when he was asked to come up with a business and software model for mobile application.
His hope in the future is to launch Engezni and develop it into the largest online food ordering app in the region. AUC provided Amr the knowledge and idea to Amr to develop such an app.
