Professor Savings here. Today we are going to learn how to read a stock chart or stock stable.
Stock is a type of investment or buying a share ownership of a company.
So since I use Google everyday and believe in their growth from charging consumer for placing ads, I look further into investing in their stock.
I find out their stock symbol is GOOG and first learn about their 52 week high.
In 52 weeks, this is the highest price it has been trading.
A 52 week low is the lowest price the stock has been traded in the past 52 weeks.
A dividend. is when a corporation profits and redistribute back to the shareholders. One note to take is that not all stocks provide a dividend.
Volume is how many shares are traded daily.
Take a look at the stock Apple. Apple gives out dividend.
A yield is dividing annual dividend by stock price.
P/E ratio is the ratio between price of stock and a company’s earnings.
Day last is the price ended on that very day. A net change is how the stock ended today compared to yesterday.
In summary, it takes time and experience to learn.
