We are all connected by this invisible cord woven by similar characteristics. That’s why your best friend is your best friend. Believe it or not, even you and your worst enemy share something in common. It could be something as minor as a love for butter pecan ice cream, but it’s something.
Whenever you’re venting about something troubling you, realize that you’re actually appealing to that common denominator that person shares with you. In essence, that’s why your mom always knows exactly what to say, she’s speaking from your common denominator.
Don’t get caught up on titles and accolades, an expert- your expert- is merely someone who recognizes your common denominator.
If you can learn to access that little voice within yourself, you can serve as your own personal expert. When you do, relationship, professional, and money matters won’t trouble you for half as long as before.
